Gender Domination (and Submission) and the Current Issue of g/s/i- Journal Editorial

The editorial of g/s/i 2 contextualizes the call for papers on gender domination. The author argues that gender is a battlefield for domination and submission and focuses on institutional and social discourses that attempt to reorganize gender power relations around the heteronormative framework. Drawing examples from the contemporary social scene and media discourse, she claims that strategies and practices of gender domination have proliferated in Italy when the critical nodes of gender and sexuality are being reconfigured in many Western countries. The editorial also provides an overview of the articles published in the “Themed Section.”
